February 24th 2017 Shahedah Williams had the opportunity to show her latest collection in Philly Fashion week's Runway I show. This collection showed diverse silhouettes with a mixture rich textiles. The prints were rich in color as well as bold. They looks were risky but provided enough coverage for woman to feel comfortable. The models embodied the swimwear appropriately giving off the sexy confident energy that the looks needed to come alive on the runway. The soca music playing gave the collection that added spice it needed going down the runway. Shahedah love to show her Caribbean style in her presentation and designs.
This past weekend was the opening for my first gallery exhibit in Kutztown, PA at the Eckhaus Gallery. This is my first time having a whole entire space to show my work so it was hard picking through things trying to decide what I would show. It was so tuff it took me three trips and help from multiple people to fill it up to my liking I finally did the day of the gallery opening. I must admit this is amazing I'm happy to have this opportunity and hope for more opportunities to come.

My inspiration for this print was freedom and the love of expression. Butterflies are often used to describe a feeling of infactuation. That idea of internalized romance is being expressed through a print.
I've recently been working with this app called my couture and participating in their pop up shops. My couture is a developing app dedicated to designers with small companies. I'm excited to be apart of such a innovative approach to fashion. I love the fact that this gives small designer like me a platform to present my work to the public.
